The root problem that our organization, Find Your Passion wants to combat, is to reduce the number of barriers students face in achieving their goal of attending college. This could be the lack of online equipment, resources to broaden skills, or socioeconomic status.  As underprivileged students tend to stick to a few extracurriculars due to their lack of opportunities, there becomes a correlation between the socioeconomic status of an individual and the activities they participate in. Because of these underlying problems students are unknowingly set back, and impact them later during the college admissions process. During the pandemic, due to colleges going test-optional, there is even more importance given to extracurriculars than before.
